Cops say a male bicyclist is dead after a Sunday crash.
"The NOPD is investigating a traffic fatality that occurred today (January 10, 2021) at the intersection of Harrison and St. Bernard avenues," New Orleans Police said in a news release.
Investigators say that shortly after 11:00am, the bicyclist was traveling northbound in the outside southbound lane of St. Bernard Avenue.
"A Jeep Patriot traveling eastbound on Harrison Avenue had stopped at the intersection and attempted to cross. For reasons undetermined, the two collided. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased."
Police say the driver of the Jeep remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
