Airlines are looking at the UK as one possible bright spot for international travel this summer.
Executives at Delta and United say there are talks between the two countries about opening a travel corridor, at least for vaccinated travelers, as soon as this summer. United says it would add eight to 10 daily flights to London if a corridor were to open up this summer.
American Airlines is the latest carrier to rev up its pilot hiring. American told pilots it plans to hire 300 more pilots this year, and double that number in 2022. The airline says it will honor conditional job offers that had to be put on hold during the pandemic.
5G is coming to New Orleans. Verizon says its super-fast Ultra Wideband 5G coverage is coming to four more cities, including parts of New Orleans, San Antonio, and Fresno and Riverside, California.
