The Trump administration has retained a national limit of 70 parts per billion for the pollutant ozone, the same standard set by the Obama administration, after business groups fought tougher standards. Manufacturers and energy companies are the most likely to benefit from a decision not to tighten ozone standards.
U.S. crude oil stockpiles fell last week. The Energy Information Administration says inventories shrunk by 562,000 barrels, though that was significantly less than the 3.1 million-barrel decline that had been forecast.
Servers and other restaurant workers who receive tips could soon be required by their employer to share that extra cash with non-tipped, back-of-house staff members such as dishwashers and cooks, according to a new regulation announced by the Labor Department. Under the new rule, employers are also prohibited from keeping tips by their employees.
