A motorcyclist is dead after a crash early Thursday morning in Metairie, and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office says the bike had been reported stolen from New Orleans.
The wreck happened around 5:00 a.m. Deputies say the rider crashed into a tractor trailer as the truck pulled on to Veterans Memorial Blvd. at Kent Ave.
"The rider was treated on scene by emergency medical personnel, but was ultimately pronounced dead," said Capt. Jason Rivarde of the JPSO.
The sheriff's office says the trucker showed no signs of impairment and is cooperating with investigators. The victim has not been identified.
