A man is dead and another injured in an overnight double shooting in Central City. Initially, the New Orleans Police Department reported the shooting had happened at the intersection of St. Charles Avenue and Jackson Avenue.
Authorities now say it happened at about 3:30 a.m. 1700 block of Robert C. Blakes Sr. Drive about a block from St. Charles Avenue.
One of the victims was taken to the hospital but authorities did not say what condition the man was in at the time. The other victim was found dead at the scene. Police are still investigating.
