New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 100 block of Chalfant Place.
Police say shortly after 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers were sent to investigate a call of a shooting in that location.
"NOPD Third District officers responded to the location and discovered an adult male and adult female inside of a residence, both having sustained gunshot wounds," said the NOPD's Public Affairs division. "Both victims were declared deceased on scene."

Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
