New Orleans police are investigating three separate shootings that left two people dead and two other people injured.
The first shooting happened on Sunday in the 5900 block of Read Boulevard that left one person dead.
An NOPD report says, “At about 7:27 p.m., NOPD Seventh District officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting at the location. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim in the parking lot having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported via EMS to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.”
Less than two hours later another fatal shooting happened; this time in the 1500 block of St. Bernard Avenue at about 8:57 p.m.
According to a report, responding officers discovered a male victim in a parking lot at the location. The victim was declared dead at the scene.
Then a third shooting happened at about 12:19 a.m. It happened at the intersection of North Claiborne and Esplanade avenues. Initial reports show two victims -an adult male and an adult female with gunshot wounds arriving via private conveyance to a local hospital.
