A convicted drug dealer is off the street for the next 20-years after pleading out to selling deadly fentanyl in the form of a Percocet pill.
Franklin Melvin Senfles plead Guilty to Manslaughter and was sentenced to 20 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections by Judge Kevin Conner in Plaquemines Parish.
Senfles, age 22 from Gretna, was indicted for Second Degree Murder for the death of Hailey Deickman that occurred on May 18, 2021 in Belle Chasse. Hailey was set to graduate from Belle Chasse High School one week later.
Hailey’s death resulted from taking a Percocet pill she and a friend had purchased from Senfles that contained fentanyl. Hailey’s death was listed as acute fentanyl toxicity.
One‐week prior to Hailey’s death Senfles was hospitalized for signs of fentanyl overdose after taking one of the pills from the same stash Senfles used to distribute to Hailey and her friend.
Senfles will be 42 years of age when he is set to be released from Angola State Penitentiary.
