Police in New Orleans say they have arrested three juveniles and are searching for a fourth suspect after a carjacking investigation ends in chase with police.
Investigators say a car was stolen at gunpoint on Sunday, December 6, in the 2700 block of South Tonti Street.
The next day, officers on patrol in the area spotted the stolen vehicle with the suspects inside. The NOPD officers attempted to pull the suspects over but the suspects sped off in the stolen vehicle. The officers gave chase until the suspects abandoned the vehicle in the 4600 block of Lynhuber Street.
One subject was quickly apprehended while three other subjects fled on foot. After police set up a search perimeter in the neighborhood and a NOPD K9 unit was deployed, two other suspects in the chase were caught. The fourth suspect is still at large.
