Louisiana State Police says three people, including two children, died in a head-on car crash in Washington Parish.
The wreck happened Sunday night around 6:30 on LA 25 near Stafford Road.
Troopers say the driver of a 2003 Chevy Silverado pickup crossed the center line and crashed headlong into a 2008 Chevy Tahoe.
Three people in the Tahoe were killed: 42-year-old Tequilla Santee, 11-year-old Daniya Carter, and 3-year-old Dylan Wilson of Covington.
Two others in the SUV were hospitalized with serious injuries.
The driver of the pickup, 18-year-old Logan Schmalz of Franklinton, was also critically injured.
Routine toxicology samples were collected from both drivers. The case is under investigation.
