The New Orleans Police Department announced Tuesday the arrest of three teenage suspects in a homicide that happened Sunday afternoon in the French Quarter.
"At about 4:41 p.m. on June 30, NOPD Eighth District officers responded to a call of a shooting at the intersection of Royal and St. Peter streets," police said in a statement. "Upon arrival, officers located an adult female victim seated in a vehicle."
Police say the woman was declared dead at the scene.
The coroner's office identified the victim as 43-year-old Kristie Thibodeaux of Slidell.
Police say 17-year-old Jerben Albarec, 19-year-old Joshua Aviala-Bonifacio, and a 15-year-old boy were booked on charges of second degree murder and attempted armed robbery.
