A star of film and television will reign as Bacchus LV this Carnival season.

Kevin Dillon will serve as the krewe's king during its 2024 festivities, Bacchus captain Clark Brennan announced on Thursday. Dillon is the latest in a long list of celebrities, including Bob Hope, Dick Clark, and Nicholas Cage, to serve as the King of Bacchus.

Dillon is best known for playing Johnny "Drama" on HBO's Entourage, a role that earned him three Emmy nominations and two Golden Globe nominations. He also portrayed the sociopathic soldier Bunny in the film Patton and drummer John Densmore in the biopic The Doors. Dillon has also appeared in the TV shows Blue Bloods, The Simpsons, 24, That's Life, and NYPD Blue.

The Bacchus parade will roll on Sunday, February 11 at 5:15 p.m. along its traditional uptown route. The Bacchus Rendezvous at the Convention Center will follow the parade. Rock-and-Roll Hall of Famers Chicago will headline this year's ball.
