New details on Monday’s Bourbon Street shoot shows the shooting started with an argument on a guided tour.
The shooting happened about 7:42 p.m. Monday evening at the intersection of Bourbon Street and Gov. Nicholls Street.
The New Orleans Police Department says a man became involved in an argument while on the tour and began waving a gun.
“The suspect on guided tour when he became involved in verbal altercation. The suspect began waving handgun and fired two shots, striking victim. The victim relocated via private conveyance to local hospital,” an initial police report said on Tuesday.
Authorities did not say what started the argument but did say the shooting suspect was apprehended. Police did not release the name of the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
