New Orleans Police are investigating a second killing on a Wednesday night. This time the victim is a woman who was found near the intersection of Lake Forest Boulevard and Cindy Place in the Seventh District.
At about 10:05 p.m., NOPD Seventh District officers responded to a report of an aggravated battery by shooting at the location.
Upon arrival, officers found a female victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was declared deceased at the scene.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive.
