Cops say a woman is dead after she was found covered in blood in her home.
"The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating the suspicious death of 45 year old Lisa Hernandez of Ponchatoula," TPSO posted. "Sheriff Daniel Edwards says shortly after 9:00 PM on March 20, 2024, deputies responded to a medical emergency."
When they arrived at the home on Meadow Wood Drive, they discovered Hernandez.
"A female was found lying between her bed and a dresser, covered in blood."
Officials say first responders could not revive her.
"At this time investigators are unable to determine a cause of death, however, they are investigating the incident as a homicide pending an autopsy."
