The 30th Manning Passing Academy cranks up Thursday, June 25th, on the campus of Nicholls State University.

Prior to the event's thirtieth anniversary, Archie Manning offered some comments on how humbling the growth and prominence of his event has been:

I never thought this would be what has happened. It’s just remarkable. And to have Peyton, Eli, Cooper, and that University of Texas quarterback (Arch) involved is great for me. It’s been a great journey, and I’m always thrilled for this time of the year.

Nicholls State and the Thibodaux community have been just absolutely great to all of us, and where there have been upgrades to the facilities and playing fields throughout the many years, it’s the hospitality of the people there that sticks out.

We also appreciate you and the WWL Radio crew here for many of the 30 years we have done this. I’m still amazed this camp has grown to these proportions and I just hope our goal to advance the passing game and at the quarterback position has fulfilled the mission of the camp.
