Ready for yet another dramatic change in weather? This one will be frigid, with pipe-bursting cold on the Northshore.

"A cold front is going to slowly drift across the state through the day on Saturday," according to LSU Health climatologist Barry Keim.

Keim says it won't get as far south as the New Orleans area until nightfall, and Sunday itself won't be that bad.

"The front will already be through, but the cold of the air will not have arrived yet," he said.

But Sunday night is when major changes begin.

"By Monday morning, we could be looking at a light freeze on the south shore, certainly a freeze on the north shore without a doubt," said Keim.

Highs at Armstrong New Orleans International Airport on Monday won't get out of the 40s, but by the middle of next week, it will warm back up into the 60s.
