Police in New Orleans announce they made an arrest in an armed robbery and kidnapping investigation.
The incident happened Wednesday in the 4900 block of Spain Street. The NOPD says they have arrested 32-year-old James Sansone V for the alleged crime.
During the course of the investigation, NOPD detectives say that the victim had been forced from her location and brought to a location in the 2300 block of Amonaster Avenue by multiple supsects, then was later returned to the original location. Through investigation, detectives say they were able positively identify Sansone as a suspect in this incident and obtain a warrant for his arrest.
Sansone was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center on one count each of armed robbery, second-degree kidnapping and illegal possession of stolen things.
Investigation remains active and open in this investigation.
