After losing his seat on the New Orleans City Council to Lesli Harris, former City Council person Jay Banks has a new job.
Banks has accepted a position with the Cantrell Administration as an urban policy specialist.
Banks expected start date was August 8th.
A spokesperson with the Mayor’s office says they are happy to have Mr. Banks back in public service with the City of New Orleans.
No mention of Bank's salary was made.
Banks is the former District B Council Person. He was replaced by Councilwoman Lesli Harris in December 2021.
