Plenty of sunshine and mildly warm temperatures to start the week as forecasters watch Zeta’s developments.
WWLTV’s Meteorologist Dave Nussbaum says, “High pressure remains east of us today, and that will help to warm us back up with plenty of sunshine. High temperatures will be in the lower 80s. Tonight will be partly cloudy and a little more humid with a stray shower possible. Lows north in the 60s and south in the 70s. All eyes will be on Zeta (a hurricane by then) as it crosses over the Yucatan into the Gulf of Mexico. It will be interesting to see how the storm is disrupted once it crosses over land. Right now, it is expected to remain a hurricane over the southern Gulf as it moves NW.
