Police are investigating the death of a man who apparently fell from the long-vacant Plaza Tower at Howard and Loyola avenues.
The body was discovered shortly after 8 a.m. Monday.
It is not known from which floor of the 45-story tower the victim fell from, or if the fall was even the cause of death.
The discovery of the body came hours after firefighters had to extinguish a trash fire at the vacant property.
The building's owner, developer Joe Jaeger, announced earlier this year that he is putting the building up for sale.
