The New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board has issued a precautionary boil advisory for parts of Algiers.
The area covers the English Turn region and also parts of the Tall Timbers neighborhood and the 5300 block of Tullis Drive.
SWBNO says a contractor broke a 12-inch water main on Tullis. That caused water pressure to drop below the minimum safe level of 20 pounds per square inch.
