A shooting on Bourbon St. Monday night happened after a homeless man and a tourist from Oklahoma got into an argument, which ended when the victim dared the suspect to shoot him, according to a report in The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate.
Austin Harrison was booked for aggravated battery, illegal use of a weapon, and illegal carrying of a weapon according to New Orleans jail records.
According to the report, Harrison was with a tour group when he began arguing with a homeless man near Bourbon and Gov. Nicholls St. around 7:40 p.m. Monday, Witnesses say during the argument, Harrison drew the gun, and the victim dared him to shoot. The victim was shot in foot.
