Two men who broke into a New Orleans condo complex and stole packages and a bicycle are on the run this morning.
The burglary happened around 4:15 p.m. Saturday at the Mills Row complex at the corner of John Churchill Chase and Tchoupitoulas Streets.

According to the owner of the bike that was stolen, the property manager called him around 5:30 p.m. to notify him that security video showed someone walking out of the complex with a bike that had been stored in a stairwell. When the bike’s owner went to check, he noticed his bike was gone.

The bike’s owner says the used a resident’s building access code to enter the condo complex. Security cameras in the complex’s lobby and outside the building caught the burglary in action. The video shows two white males scouting the area before grabbing the parcels and before one of them reenters the stairwell and steals the bicycle. The outdoor camera shows the pair putting the bicycle in the back of a black Ford F-150 pickup truck before driving away down John Churchill Chase towards Tchoupitoulas.

The thieves also got away with two packages.
The bike’s owner says he has filed a police report, but he is willing to let the incident slide if the thieves return his bike to the condo by Monday afternoon.
