A dispute between two brothers in Tangipahoa Parish ends with one of them shot and the other in jail.
Sheriff's deputies say it happened around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at a home on East Cooper Road in Independence.
According to Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards, the two brothers were involved in an argument when one of them pulled a gun and shot the other. The wounded sibling remains in the hospital. His condition was not disclosed.
Edwards says charges are pending against the other brother.
