Police in Baton Rouge identify the man killed in a double shooting at a LSU off-campus apartment complex.

Spokesperson for the Baton Rouge Police Department, Sergeant L’Jean McKneely says, the coroner identified the man killed as 23-year-old Dylan Clouatre.


They say Clouatre and another victim were shot around 8:45 a.m. Sunday at an apartment complex in the 4100 block of Burbank Drive near LSU’s campus.

The shooting happened inside a ‘Lark Apartments’ complex, which is an off-campus apartment complex catering to LSU students.

Police say Coulatre was pronounced dead at the scene and the second shooting victim was taken to the hospital with life threatening injures. It is unclear Police did not say if either shooting victim is an LSU student.

The motive and suspect are unknown at this time and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information relative to this shooting is urged to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at 389-4869 or Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP(7867).
