It looks like we're in for some rain again. New Orleans officials hope the city's drainage system handles this one better than the last tropical event.
"This looks like it's mostly going to be a rain event," said New Orleans Mayor Heleno Moreno.
Moreno said the Sewerage and Water Board needs to be ready, and she wants the city's residents to know that.
"I've requested that information about their pumping system along with their power system, that that information is put on their social media page," she said.
The mayor is also encouraging New Orleanians to clear any debris away from catch basins on their streets.
"If you have the opportunity to clean out your catch basin, particularly since we just had a storm that sent debris into the catch basins, that, too, would be super helpful," Moreno said.
The city of New Orleans is making sandbags available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday while supplies last. Sandbags will be issued at the following sites:
