After the bourbon st terror attack, we can expect that things are for ever changed on every level for large events.
Looking forward to one such event, the Super Bowl will be the first test for the city and any new strategies.
Chairman of the Super Bowl Host Committee, Jay Cicero, says to expect announcements in the coming days.
"I can foresee further road closures around the dome, revisions to pedestrian traffic."
Super Bowl attendees should probably start listening in for any changes to auto and foot traffic around the city and for other updates to security as officials amend plans.
Safety concerns will remain the pressing issue for sometime, as Cicero says that what happened on New Year's Eve on Bourbon St. has shaped many aspects of the event and both the committee and the NFL see an opportunity to honor all involved.
"With the Super Bowl being here, we won't pass up the chance to honor the heroes, victims, and the families of them."
