Cops pursuing a suspect in Metairie caught up with the fleeing driver in New Orleans.
"Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office deputies chased a vehicle into Orleans Parish shortly after 1:45 pm today," NOPD Sgt. Barry Fletcher said in an email. "The chase ended on Interstate 10 eastbound near the City Park exit."
He says police closed the I-10 eastbound as a result.
"Motorists should avoid that area."
