The city of New Orleans has expanded it's snow plowing operations.
Indiana-based Sherco first arrived as the snow was letting up Tuesday evening. The plows immediately got to work on the Crescent City Connection and expressways around the CBD.
New Orleans Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Director Collin Arnold says they have their plows out in New Orleans East today.
"We want to get a handle on Hayne, Morrison, Dwyer, and then Read and Bullard," said Arnold.
And they are also going to get to work on the interstate, along with the state Department of Transportation and Development.
"At the request of DoTD, we're going to start with our plows moving on Interstate 10 from east to west," he said. "They're moving from west to east."
