Northshore authorities say a little boy faces serious charges today after making his hand look like a gun, and threaten to shoot teachers.
"A Slidell-area student was arrested... for terrorizing after he made comments about shooting teachers at his Slidell-area elementary school," Sergeant Suzanne Carboni said in a news release.
She says school officials called the cops after parents called administrators.
"Parents made the administration at the school aware of an incident involving an 11-year-old student which occurred earlier that day during afternoon car line."
Carboni says the eleven-year-old was not caught with an actual weapon.
"The student was observed by other students making gun-like hand [gestures] while pointing at teachers saying he was going to shoot them."
Police arrested the student on a charge of terrorizing and released him to his parents... with a custodial agreement to appear in court.
“Once again we want to make it very clear that law enforcement and the school system will take threats like this very seriously,” Sheriff Randy Smith said. “We will continue to work with our schools and investigate any and all threats at our schools or to the students and faculty who attend them. Parents, please talk to your children and explain the seriousness of making comments like this.”
