Chris Jacobs sworn in to Congress

Washington, DC (WBEN) - Chris Jacobs was sworn in to Congress Tuesday morning, after having his special election win in the 27th Congressional District declared official.

Jacobs was joined by his family as he was sworn in during Congress' Tuesday morning session in Washington, DC.

"It is the greatest honor of my life to be chosen by you as a member of Congress," Jacobs said during the session.

Jacobs received 37,910 votes in June's special election win over Nate McMurray, who recieved 36,492. The two will be on the ballot running for the same seat again this November.
