Coast Guard suspends search for pilots involved in Lake Pontchartrain crash

The Coast Guard has suspended the search for the pilots aboard the training airplane that crashed into Lake Pontchartrain on Monday Night.

Coast Guard officials made that decision on Wednesday, just shy of 48 hours after the Cessna crashed about four miles north of the Lakefront Airport.

Officials at the Mississippi flight school the pair consisted of a female flight instructor in her 20s and a male student also in his 20s.

Their identities have not been released.
