On the coldest morning since February, electricity went out to more than 9,000 Entergy customers in Metairie today.
The power provider says around 5:30am, they learned of an outage centered around Clearview and I-10.
Entergy had estimated power restoration by 8:30am, but later updated the website to say some customers may not have electricity until 10:00am.
By 9:00am, there were less than 500 customers still without power.
There was initially no word on what caused the problem.
Traffic signals were out at several big intersections.
