When the Chiefs and Eagles square off in the Super Bowl in New Orleans February 9th, it will be an international unveiling of an overhauled Superdome.

To win this record tying 11th Super Bowl, the state and the Saints promised the NFL $560 million in renovations and Superdome GM Evan Holmes say they have delivered.

"We are very comfortable with where the building is and how it is accommodating the Super Bowl," he said of the upgrades.

Holmes says they are now just putting the finishing touches on the new atriums, premium spaces, 40-yard bars, open concession areas overlooking the field, technology improvements, wider concourses, new escalators, transformed food and beverage service and more.

"Frankly excited to see what the new Superdome can do with a Super Bowl compared to when they were here in 2013, two -really- completely different buildings."

The Saints paid $180 million of the cost.

A release from the team says, "The collaborative project funded by the New Orleans Saints, Louisiana Stadium & Exposition District (LSED), and the State of Louisiana has progressed over a five-year period through the work of a team of architects, contractors, designers and construction workers operating around the clock in order to reach its completion."
