New Orleans Police say an argument between a teen and a woman turned violent when the 37-year-old shot the 17-year-old late Monday night.
"The victim and the suspect were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated," according to an initial police report.
It says that the suspect shot the victim in the leg.
"The victim was transported to a local hospital via EMS and the suspect was apprehended."
The suspect is identified as Cassidy Jackson.
It happened in the 4100 block of Hollygrove Street.
