The boat sank,
People nearby rescued the pair.
"They were quickly spotted by other boaters thanks to their life vests and pulled to safety."
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Marine Division recovered the boat, pumped out the water and towed it in.
"Sheriff Sticker wants to highlight the importance of having and using life vests and having an emergency plan to seek assistance before heading out on the water."
