A Lafitte man is dead after a Sunday morning crash on the Crescent City Connection in New Orleans.
According to a Louisiana State Police spokesperson, Andrew Perrin entered the bridge from the General DeGaulle on ramp, crossed all of the lanes of traffic, and was struck by an oncoming SUV. Both Perrin’s car and the SUV then ran off the road and hit a cement barrier.
Perrin, 69, was taken to a hospital, where he later died. The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
