New Orleans Police say violence broke out in Gentilly Saturday afternoon.
"The NOPD is investigating a shooting that occurred near the intersection of Clover Street and Franklin Avenue," Public Relations Specialist Kaitlin Rust Landry said in an email.
The victim was being treated at the hospital.
"Initial reports show an adult male gunshot wound victim arrived at a local hospital by private conveyance."
She says cops got the call just after 3:30pm.
