A woman is dead after a Northshore crash.
"Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop L responded to a three-vehicle crash on LA Hwy 36 at LA Hwy 3241 in St. Tammany Parish," Trooper Marc Gremillion said in a news release.
It happened Saturday.
"The crash claimed the life of 39-year-old Jennifer L. Ayo of Covington."
A recent post from a local car dealers show Ayo bought the car last year.
She was driving a 2014 Chevy Camaro southbound on LA Hwy 3241 toward LA Hwy 36.
"Simultaneously, a 2010 Honda Fit was traveling westbound on LA Hwy 36, and a 2009 Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound on LA Hwy 36 toward LA Hwy 3241. For reasons still under investigation, the Chevrolet entered the intersection into the westbound lane of LA Hwy 36, into the path of the Honda. The Honda struck the Chevrolet, and following the initial impact, the Chevrolet entered the eastbound lane of LA Hwy 36, where it was struck by the Ford."
Greillion says Ayo was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. T
"The driver of the Honda, who was properly restrained, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the Ford, who was also properly restrained, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment."
Investigators says they are waiting for analysis of toxicology samples from all drivers.
