Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s are investigating a double homicide early this morning in Marrero.
Just before 2am, deputies dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle near Garden Road and 4th Street found two people in the car suffering from gunshot wounds.
EMS was called, but the pair were pronounced dead on the scene.
There is no suspect or motive information available at this time.
Meanwhile a similar homicide took place just before 6am in New Orleans East.
Officers found a vehicle stopped on Jahncke Road near Hayne Boulevard.
A person behind the steering wheel dead from gunshot wound. No other information is available.
It is not known if the crimes are connected.
