The man killed Friday morning in a motorcycle wreck on the Crescent City Connection was a producer at WGNO-TV, according to NOLA.com.
Mark Deane worked alongside sportscaster Ed Daniels, who died earlier this month after suffering a heart attack in July.
Meanwhile, police arrested the driver of the vehicle that collided with Deane's motorcycle.
Cops booked 29-year-old Alberto Martinez-Sanchez on one count of negligent homicide. Investigators say his Toyota Camry rear-ended Deane's bike.
The crash sent the motorcycle airborne, causing it to crash into a Nissan Rogue. Despite wearing a helmet, Deane died at the scene, according to police.
