One person is dead after a late night car crash in New Orleans East.
It happened around 10:15 p.m. Friday on Chef Menteur Highway near Interstate 510.
According to the NOPD officials, a speeding car rear-ended a car in front of it. Police and witnesses say the driver of the speeding car was thrown from the vehicle. Police say that driver died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
