The man at the wheel of what appears to be a runaway ice cream truck as it barreled through a parking lot and crashed into an apartment, critically injuring 12-year-old boy, is now under arrest.
Kenner Police took 71-year-old Mechael Yousef Mansoor of Kenner into custody today.
He is facing charges of negligent injuring and reckless operation of a vehicle.
Following the accident that left Adrian Fajardo with numerous injuries and in critical condition at a hospital.
The 12-year-old was playing video games in his room when Mansoor’s van crashed through the wall.
Kenner Police say the investigation into the crash is still under investigation.
