One person is dead after a weekend crash in New Orleans East.
It happened around 8:00 a.m. Saturday on U. S. 11 at the Chef Menteur Highway.
According to the NOPD's major offense log, the driver ran off the road in a curve into a wooded area. The car then flipped, causing the driver to be thrown from the vehicle.
EMS pronouned the victim dead at the scene.
