Early voting for next month's mid-term elections and other races starts today in Louisiana.
If there's a lot interest in the elections, you can expect a lot of early voter turnout. On the other hand, says Louisiana pollster John Couvillon of JMC analytics, some voters just want to get it over with.
"Given that people are not really, I guess, jazzed about this election cycle, you will have a tendency of people to vote early just to get it out of the way," said Couvillon.
But that doesn't mean there won't be a lot of early voting.
"I do expect there will be a substantial volume, like 30 to 40 percent of the total vote, that will be cast early before next Tuesday," Couvillon said.
Early voting runs through a Tuesday, October 27, but will be closed Sunday, October 25. Election Day is November 3.
There are ten amendments on the ballot.
