Early voting ends Saturday for the October 11 primary. And more people are voting early this time around.

"So it's still grown a fair amount, relative to the last two mayors' races," said pollster John Couvillon, owner of JMC Analytics.

Couvillon says early voting so far in this mayor's race is up more than 65 percent.

"Were talking about 21,800 early votes, versus 13,200 at this point in time in '21," he said.

And he says the early voting today and tomorrow will likely push that number higher.

"I would expect another 20 or so thousand to show up," said Couvillon. "In other words, there's still some more early voting to come."

Couvillon said overall turnout will likely eclipse the last mayor's election in New Orleans, when about 75,000 voters participated in LaToya Cantrell's reelection.
