Election Day has arrived and in Louisiana everything is expected to go off without a hitch.

From properly working machines to ample workers, all you have to do is exercise your right to vote and let the Secretary of State's office take care of the rest.

"You can vote with confidence in Louisiana. We are often ranked very high as far as our election integrity."

You will need a photo I.D. That can be either a driver's license, passport, military I.D., or you may use the LA wallet app.

And as long as you are in line by 8pm, you will be permitted to vote passed the official closing time.

Nancy Landry also wants to remind voters about rules concerning candidate and/or issue campaigning around the poling sites.

"There is a 600ft electioneering free zone around each poling location. This includes shirts and hats with a candidates' name, image, or slogan on it. If you are wearing these items, you will be asked to turn them inside out or remove them."
