NOPD is investigating a homicide that happened at around 10:57 p.m. on Tuesday in the 6100 block of North Claiborne Avenue.
“Fifth District officers were dispatched to the 6100 block of North Claiborne Avenue to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting. Upon arrival, they found an unresponsive unidentified adult male lying on the ground in a parking lot. The victim was suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead on the scene by EMS,” said an NOPD report.
The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will release the victim's name and the official cause of death.
