A new community sports facility is coming to the Ninth Ward of New Orleans.
Congressman Troy Carter will publically deliver a multi-million dollar check from the federal government to City Councilmembers Wednesday morning, September 7th at George Washington Carver High School.
The check will be the start of a high-quality, publicly accessible stadium facility in the 9th Ward of New Orleans.
This facility will be the first athletic stadium in the area for area students, athletes, and the community to enjoy and would bring wide ranging positive impacts to the area of the city.
Congressman Carter will be joined by other elected officials, sports figures and advocates, and impacted students for the check presentation.
The event starts at 9am and will take place in the high school’s cafeteria.
